Christmas Traditions Around the World With Father Christmas". Adults and
children alike will enjoy this event. Refreshments will be served. Have
family pictures taken with Father Christmas for $10

Dec. 5-7, 12-14, 19-21 CHRISTMAS LIGHTING FESTIVAL
Visitors come back year after year for this famous Leavenworth festival.
Fridays the town is in darkness awaiting Saturday's Lighting
Festivities. Everyone gathers at the gazebo at dusk to greet Saint
Nicholas. On Saturday and Sunday enjoy roasting chestnuts, holiday music
from the gazebo while youngsters sled in the park; holiday personalities
stroll the street. Sleigh rides are minutes away. At dusk everyone
gathers to sing "Silent Night" and witness the lighting of the village
and park and they are transformed into a magic wonderland of lights.
Last December the Travel Channel and Home and Garden TV came to feature
our 2007 festival and it will air in 2008.
Dec. 6 & 13th CHILI FEED
Homemade chili and soup--all you can eat. Featuring chili with all the
toppings including grated cheese, sour cream, onions, with corn bread,
coffee and dessert.

Christmas In the Mountains Concert
The Leavenworth Village Voices and Friends will present their annual
holiday concerts. The concerts feature the Voices, Leavenworth's own
community chorus, as well as talented guest performers.

Up and coming local artist David Alvarez is planning on doing it again!
Attracting considerable attention for his idea of creating a 10 foot
mosaic of Ray Charles from more than 2,000 post- it notes, David is back
at it. He is unveiling his latest creation right here in Leavenworth.
Using Bicycle Rider Back playing cards, red and blue, and a 25 foot wall
of our local Festhalle, David will transform this immense wall and
thousands of tiny playing cards into a mosaic portrait of the late,
great, Jimi Hendrix. Inspiration and planning for this project began in
November of 2007 An unveiling of this unique and fun wall of art will be
from 4-8pm on Thursday, March 27th at our Festhalle
